The Phoenix Boutique Annual Fundraiser -- SIP, SHOP & SMILE
I've been organizing this event for over 8 years now. It started in my home as a fundraiser for fire victims after the big Napa fire in 2018.
As a small business owner, I deeply believe in the need to be socially conscious and give back to our communities. For several years, I was looking for a cause that felt dear to my heart and I found one. The Phoenix Boutique now donates to the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland -- specifically their Child Life Program. This program provides children undergoing challenging medical predicaments with relaxed time being creative (and I believe in the power of creativity!).
Creativity changes our biochemistry. It can aid in physical healing and has many emotional benefits such as giving children a way to express themselves.
For the last 2 years, we have joined forces with the Rowan Branch (I'm a member of this volunteer organization). The Rowan Branch members, along with Amy Golan from Planet Renu and Dawn Schadek, help tremendously to make this event a great success. Truly, it takes a village and we are happy to be offering it again this year November 17th, 3-7pm. Once again, it is generously hosted by Boundary Oak Golf Club.
